Some of my friends are concerned about T.D. Jakes' endorsement of Obama.
If he wants to endorse Obama because of race, that's his business. It doesn't change a thing. When the big name preacher endorsed the wrong Republican, it didn't make a bit of difference and this won't either. Americans are a stubborn folk who like to make up their own minds.
In this matter, Pastor Jakes does not have the heart of God.
God has not changed HIS priorities about the election:
It is still about abortion.
The horrific practice of murdering our unborn is not just a heartbreaking stench in God's nostrils. It has limited His ability to bless and protect us.
He spoke to me very clearly about the election when I pleaded with Him to remind me of it's significance at a moment when I was wondering if we might wind up with Obama in the White House.
He said MAKE NO MISTAKE. The election is about abortion.
He has chosen a man who IF elected will make significant changes toward ending abortion in his first year. It is STILL God's intent to give us a President that we have cried out for with all of our heart.
If you re-read the posts of this blog, they are filled with the prayers and words straight from Holy Spirit. The prayers that have been prayed while operating in the true gift of faith and under the anointing of the Holy Spirit with a mantel of authority.
I and others are still LOCKED AND FIRMLY STANDING.
Every one of those prayers is the will of God and so long as we do not act silly and in unbelief, pluck them up with our doubt and foolish words, we will see Mike Huckabee become the President as the result of this election through the office of the Vice President.
This is the hour to pick up our sword, light it on fire, and quench the fiery darts being thrown with the fire of faith-filled intercession for:
*John McCain to quickly lock in Mike Huckabee as his running mate.
*News media to actually portray John McCain in the most favorable light with the most abundant coverage.
* Holy Spirit to shine His understanding into the people of America about HIS priorities.

Thanks for the helpful comments. I'll definitely be praying those points you mentioned. In addition, I'd like to encourage everyone *not* to look at the polls. The polls are just like the weather forecast--usually wrong! :)
Dear Anita, I have just read this for the first time. I have had similar dreams, Anita. Especially in February-March. I am praying for his healing and his salvation (of John McCain). Yes, dreams and visions would be excpetional, also. It is interesting that your dream was before the convention, many have prophesied that Huckabee would win at the convention. I am open for however God can do it, although I do also believe Mike will be President and that it is also about abortion. I believe Mike is God's choice, as this is among what the Lord revealed to me on 2-2-08 while He was imparting into me during in a visitation/heavenly trance (strongest encounter with the Lord I have ever had). The encounter was 2 hours and the part about Mike was only a minute or so, though important and, like you said, ending abortion is foremost on God's heart for this election. WOW! I stand in agreement with y'all's fervor, passion and fire for/of GOD to see His will be done!
John McCain has a praying grandmother and I believe God uses all things for His purposes. I also believe that the prayers have already been answered, like you have said (He told me the week before the Texas primary that if we did not pray one single more pray, it has already been accomplished--in the heavenlies), and we just have to stand still and watch the salvation of our God. It is so good to testify to Him and His promises, and it even encourages me once again to talk about this!! Your direction of being careful with our thoughts, mouth, and our faith, are well-written and well-advised, and well-taken! :-) May God be true and every man a liar, meaning no matter what the reports say, let us believe God's Word! I stand in faith with you, sister, for God's PERFECT WILL to be done! And, I ask the Lord for forgiveness for missing nights on the wall (sleepy), our flesh is weak but the Spirit is willing, yet, mainly we must just stand firm, hold fast, watch, wait, stay alert, be vigilant, for our redemption/deliverance draweth nigh! :-) And, as you have said, Anita, and Sherri, and many others, let us just keep praising, thanking, and worshipping Him, as Jehosephat and the priests, for the battle is the LORD's, and He fights for us! There are times He will lead us to pray and fight, by His Spirit, but we must just be attuned with His Spirit (for instance, lately, He has me praying for Israel and our troops/missionaries, against terrorism), sometimes, He has me focused on the weather. Y'all no what I am saying:-) Yet, what a peace of His river flowing, in Florida, Atlanta, and all over, right now. May we just stay in the flow of His sweet river of Life and Spirit! May He be glorified in all things. My husband and I read Ezekiel 20 again, which is such a reflection of America right now. The high place they worshipped was called Bamah in Hebrew (means high place). Idolatry and immorality were key then, and now, yet God in His great mercy, redeemed, rescued, and restored Israel, and rid the land of the evil, by His own arm (Isaiah 52). Obama's name is so close to Bamah, high place. Yet, the last paragraph of Ezekiel 20:32-44 shows how the Lord will intervene with His love, compassion, and wrath. I see Him intervening with this beautiful outpouring of His healing, love, Holy Spirit, by His own arm! We praise You, Jesus. We thank You, Daddy, in the Name of Jesus! I love you all, and let us love and spur one another on, even more, as we see the Day approaching! Yee-Haw and Hooray to Jesus from this Texas sister, HalleluYAH! We give HIM all the glory:-)

Hi. I appreciate your blogs. Yet another thing for us to pray is that Obama will self-destruct--that he'll say and do things that will offend so many people, and that people's eyes will be opened to see Obama as the wolf in sheep's clothing that he truly is. We should also pray that, if need be, world events will take a turn so that the Republicans will have the advantage. God can easily do this, so let's keep plugging away.
THERE IS SO MUCH IGNORANCE IN THE CHURCH TODAY DURING THESE ELECTION TIMES, THAT I AM AFRAID OF WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO CHRISTIANS DURING THE LAST DAYS.
OPEN YOUR EYES AND READ YOUR WORD. WE KNOW THAT AS CHRISTIANS THERE IS MORE TO RIGHTEOUSNESS THAN ABORTIONS AND HOMOSEXUALITY. IF THATS ALL THERE WAS TO IT, THEN WE WOULD ALL BE A LOT MORE HOLY THAN WE ARE. GOD SPEAKS AGAINST MANY ACTIONS THAT OUR REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE HAS BEEN TAKING PART IN, BUT HE HAS US ALL SO BRAINWASHED THAT WE ARE ACTING AS IF BARACK OBAMA IS THE DEVIL. REMEMBER, GOD DESCRIBES SLANDER AS AN ABOMINATION. THROUGHOUT THE BIBLE GOD SPEAKS AGAINST SLANDER AND TELLS US FLAT OUT NOT TO DO IT.
I would like to make it clear to people who dont bother to do research, that Barack Obama is not in support of Abortion or Homosexuality, but in our ability to choose our way for ourselves. He has expressed on many occasions that he does not agree with it, but will not deprive anyone of their rights to choose. I assume all of you made your own choices as well. That is because of the grace of God, not because of any politician. Obama is just a man, who is he to take God's gift away from you.
TD Jakes sees in Barack Obama those Godly qualities that too many ignorant Christians refuse to see because they are blinded by these two issues. He probably sees Obama not only as someone who is in support of keeping Israel secure, which is what God told us to do, sharing eachothers burdens, acting as our brother's keeper and as a good sumaritan, and his entire campaign is based on unity, and love for our neighbor. We know if we read our word that Love is God's most important commandment. If we watch the two campaigns, we will see that John McCain has embodied ZERO fruits of the spirit, showed no love to his opponent, slandered his name, insulted his faith, attacked his character, and manipulated millions of Christians and made fools out of them. Lets talk biblical for a minute. Like I said before, Love is the most important commandment first to Love the Lord your God, and second to Love your neighbor. McCain cannot even talk about God without getting uncomfortable. Dont even bother asking him to acknowledge Jesus Christ because he will get around it. Slander- The bible says Matt 15:9 slander comes from the heart of evil. John McCain has run his campaign on nothing but slanderous words for his opponent. His campaign has nothing to do with his own qualifications, but show only hate to his brother. Lets not also forget greed of republicans. We forget that there are other sins outside of the sexual sin, and that God speaks against greed and mammon as well. He is all about money and keeping the rich rich. He does not consider the majority of the country who is struggling; therefore, tears down his inspirational opponent who's nearly entire campaign revolves around coming together, taking responsibility, hope for the hopeless and encouragement. For the first time in history, true equality is in reach, which is what our country has always strived for (at least that is what they say). He is a man who openly admits that Jesus Christ is in his life everyday, has carried himself with love for his neighbors, honor for his Christian Brothers and Sisters, and brought the concept of trusting in God back into the democratic party. It is a reminder that the party you are afiliated with does not identify your relationship with the Lord. The Bible says that people will perish for a lack of wisdom, so dont let John McCain make a fool out of you. Look over all issues, not just the ones he think will snag you.
